Osama bin Laden death

Well, just heard the word. Osama bin Laden, leader of the terrorist group Al-Qaeda has been killed and his body is in human custody.
Let me just ask, am I the only one who realizes that this is not, by any means, the end of the war?  Al-Qaeda is by no means a simple organization, and it was well known that there was a bounty on his head.  There WILL BE a replacement for him, and the organization WILL continue to operate.  The way I see it, odds are good that within a month, there will be a retaliatory attack on US soil.  The only thing I can do is wait.

Stay safe.

  9. And the attack can happen anywhere... at any time. I'd like to remain ignorantly unknowning, and if it's my time it's my time. =)

  10. By no means is this the end of the war. Someone more sinister may step up to lead this organization. What matters now is the sense of patriotism that the people are feeling. The relief that they're feeling. Even if it may come with a looming sense of more bloodshed to come in the future.

  11. Personally, I dont think his death really means much now. It was just so long ago that we started searching for him..

  12. Always someone to replace the link in the chain... but like the others under Osama, they'll be quick fixes. Osama had connections, history, assets that no one else has/had. Not to mention a background with the CIA.

  13. Weren't there a bunch of captured terrorists who said that if he was ever captured or killed there was a nuclear bomb hidden in Europe which would be set off?

  14. As you can see from my blog, social justice and the like are interests of mine. What got me is how people kept saying justice had been served. Certainly any trial he would have faced would have ended in his death, but without a trial, can we really say justice was served?
